ShadeWave Mobile app offers advanced software capabilities that optimize the performance of the iPhone camera for macro and portrait dental or medical photography. The application includes three distinct modes designed to enhance various aspects of photography: Shade, Portrait, and Intraoral.

Noteworthy features of the app include HIPAA (USA) and PIPEDA (Canadian) compliant secure cloud storage, facilitating secure data transfer between dentists, laboratories, and specialists without the need for email or external platforms like Dropbox. Images captured through the app are encrypted and do not permanently reside on your device.

The Intraoral photography function is unlimited, subject to the Terms and Conditions of the application. Users are required to incorporate one or two shade tabs in their pictures when creating a case, along with specifying the name of the shade tab used. These shade tabs serve as a reference for color correction in images and aid in identifying unknown shades for teeth.
